What is MyDigiFolio?

A professional identity platform. You build one profile and it powers four synced outputs (resume, vCard, portfolio, email signatures) plus a listing in a public directory where recruiters and clients can find you.

How long does it take to set up?

About 8–10 minutes if you upload an existing resume, or ~15 minutes if you start from scratch. The 6-step onboarding handles basics → experience → skills → education → review with an AI-generated summary.

Can I import my existing resume?

Yes. Upload a PDF or DOCX on step 1 and we extract your experience, education, skills, and summary automatically. You can edit everything afterwards.

Do I need design skills?

No. You pick a template and we render every output — PDF, QR, portfolio page, email signature HTML — from your profile. Templates are professionally designed; nothing else to configure.

Is the free plan actually free?

Yes, forever. No credit card required. Free users get all four outputs with basic templates, a numeric profile URL, PDF resume download, QR vCard, up to 3 portfolio projects, 1 signature style, directory listing, and unlimited contact messages.

What does Pro give me?

A vanity URL (mydigifolio.com/yourname), no MyDigiFolio branding anywhere, a verified badge, a +20 directory ranking boost, full analytics (countries, referrers, pages, downloader companies), instant resume download, DOCX export, premium templates, up to 10 portfolio projects, the AI blog writer, and SEO controls.

What is Pro Lifetime?

$99 one-time gets you Pro forever — every current Pro feature plus every future Pro feature at no extra cost. It pays back vs. monthly after 20 months.

Can I cancel?

Yes, anytime from the billing page. You keep Pro until the end of your paid period, then drop to Free. Your profile stays; only Pro perks turn off.

Do you offer refunds?

We refund a prorated portion within 14 days of an accidental charge. Email hello@mydigifolio.com.

What are add-ons?

Pro members can add Featured Listing ($3/mo — gold badge, homepage carousel, +30 ranking) or Custom Domain ($2/mo — point your own domain with auto-SSL). Both are opt-in and cancellable anytime.

Do you charge VAT / GST?

Yes, we use Stripe Tax which applies local taxes automatically based on your billing address.

Do I have to be listed in the directory?

No. In Settings → Privacy you can choose Public (listed + discoverable), Link only (unlisted but your URL still works), or Private (only you see it).

How do I get into the directory?

Pick a primary category, make sure your profile is at least 60% complete, add at least 1 experience and 3 skills, verify your email, and set visibility to Public. Your profile appears within minutes.

How does ranking work?

We combine profile completeness, recent updates, real (non-bot) views, availability status, project count, and Pro / Featured boost. Scores recalculate daily. Complete, active, Pro profiles rank highest.

Can recruiters contact me without seeing my email?

Yes — that's the whole point. Every public contact goes through our form. You see the sender's email so you can reply directly; they never see yours until you reply.

Who can request my resume?

Anyone — but Free users approve each request manually. Pro users can set instant download (the downloader just enters their email and company).

Is my phone number public?

No — never. Phone is stored privately. It does not appear in public HTML, JSON-LD, .vcf downloads, or resume PDFs shared with visitors. Your own private resume (downloaded from your dashboard) can include it if you choose.

Is my email public?

Same as phone — private. Visitors use a contact form on your profile; they submit their message and email, and we forward it to you. They never see your email.

Where are my viewer stats stored?

We hash viewer IPs with a daily salt before storage. No raw IPs are persisted. Geo lookup happens once at write time and the lookup itself is cached for 30 days.

Can I export my data?

Yes, from Settings → Data export. We email you a JSON file with your full profile, experiences, skills, projects, messages received, and summary analytics.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Settings → Delete account triggers a soft-delete: your profile disappears immediately, and all data is permanently removed after 30 days. You can recover it in that window by signing back in.

Do you train AI on my data?

No. We use OpenAI's API for generation only — your content isn't used to train anything. Requests to OpenAI send only the minimum context each action needs (bullet text, a JD, etc.) and don't include unrelated profile fields.

How do I claim my username?

After upgrading to Pro you're prompted to claim a handle (lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores; 3–30 characters). Your profile then lives at mydigifolio.com/yourname.

Can I change my username later?

No — handles are a one-time claim. This keeps your URL stable for people who've saved it or printed it on business cards. If you absolutely need a change, contact support.

What happens to my old numeric URL after I upgrade?

It automatically redirects (301) to your new vanity URL, so old links keep working forever.

Can I point my own domain?

Yes, with the Custom Domain add-on ($2/mo). Add your domain, point a CNAME to us, and we issue SSL automatically.

Is there a word count or credit limit on AI features?

No credits. Reasonable rate limits apply to prevent abuse — the ordinary flow never hits them.

Which email clients do your signatures work in?

All major ones: Gmail, Outlook (desktop + web), Apple Mail, Thunderbird, and mobile mail apps. They're HTML tables with inline CSS — no JavaScript, no external stylesheets.

Do you support Arabic / RTL?

Arabic-RTL support is in Phase 7 premium features. Profile content can be in any language today; a dedicated RTL template set is coming.

Can I block scrapers and competitors?

Yes. Set visibility to Link only and your profile won't be indexed or listed in the directory, but your shareable link still works.
